FMCG Retail
Project Brief:

This client is a large retailer operating in South Africa and neighbouring countries. Key products include cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and general appliances.
The retailer had one product that required 30% capacity but contributed less than 1% to the gross profit. Initially, we needed to extract this product from the in-house supply chain while ensuring the product service delivery was still intact.

Secondly Mylogix was asked to extract costs out of primary transport. A large percentage of costs were removed from the supply chain resulting in a long-term contract with the customer.

The third project was to evaluate the cost efficiency of distribution in the neighbouring countries.

Project Outcome:

The business enjoyed immediate cost savings. They also had a sustainable solution to extract and minimize low margin, high volume products going through the in-house supply chain. Low margin, high volume products were set up for direct distribution, further increasing profits.

Agricultural
Project Brief:

Our agricultural client approached MyLogix with concerns about severe profit losses they were experiencing. They needed to discover the origins of those losses. MyLogix was therefore appointed to consult on production processes.

Project Outcome:

Our evaluation of the major costs and processes helped us identify several opportunities to reduce spending and increase profit margins. These recommendations included training in best practices, which the company implemented. Consequently, the company enjoyed a 30% reduction in losses in the following financial year.
